Power Conversion Technologies (PCT) in Electrification of Transportation of China

Pr. Yongdong Li
Tsinghua University Beijing China

Date : Mardi 10 Septembre 2019, 16h – 18h
Lieu : Amphi. Atrium, Bât. ESPRIT, Univesite de Lille

Abstract : Due to pressures from both energy and environment, green (electrified) transportation and their related technologies have known a considerable development in China during last two decades. In this presentation, first of all, the development of PCT in next generation railway traction drives in China are reviewed and analyzed with an emphasis on Power Electronic Transformer (PET). Secondly, the development of PCT in electric propulsion of ship (EPS) with multilevel converters and multiphase motors are presented. And then the development of PCT in more electrical aircraft (MEA) are covered. Finally, the development of PCT in electrical vehicle (EV) are also included, with some conclusions and perspectives.
