Safety (ISO26262) in automotive industry: towards autonomous vehicle

Automotive safety applications will be soon a standard based on market evolution trends. Some actuators included in safety function such as breaking or steering will lose their mechanical link to the driver (e.g. no steering column) and then will have to be more reliable. This presentation will try to give some clues on these questions: How to ‘measure’ the safety of an electric actuator ? How to increase it while keeping a relative low production cost ?
