The lecture sessions take place in Polytech'Lille (Amphi Appert) and the demonstration sessions take place in Building P2. Both are located in Université Lille1, cité scientifique, 59655 Villeneuve d'Ascq France (see the map below).
To reach the University Lille1 take the subway line 1 (yellow line), direction « 4 cantons », station « 4 cantons ».
As the workshop is organized just before the major annual event in Lille (Braderie, i.e. the biggest flea market in Europe), the hotel booking will be a sensitive issue.
You should book your hotel as soon as possible…
and take the opportunity to attend this unique cultural event !As the campus is located at 15 min from Lille downtown by subway, any hotel in Lille downtown could be chosen.

Imagine 200 kilometres of sidewalks occupied by stallholders, from the city and from all over Europe. Ever since medieval times, when the valets obtained the right to hold an annual sale of their masters' cast-off clothes and belongings, everything has been for sale and for purchase here. Other than bargain-hunting, another tradition has established itself here - that of a bowl of mussels and chips ("moules-frites") along with a glass of local beer.
