The audience will gain an understanding of the<br \/>\nfundamental characteristics of these devices, together with the benefits and challenges associated<br \/>\nwith their adoption in modern power electronic energy conversion systems. In addition, several<br \/>\nongoing cutting-edge research projects will be presented to provide insights into the latest<br \/>\nacademic research and industrial applications in this field and their contribution to sustainable<br \/>\ndevelopment.<\/p>\n<p>Dr Ke Li is an Associate Professor at the Power Electronics, Machines and Control<br \/>\n(PEMC) Research Institute at the University of Nottingham, UK. He received the PhD degree in<br \/>\nElectrical Engineering from the University of Lille, France, in 2014. His research interests focus on<br \/>\nthe integration and reliability of modern power electronics systems. Dr Li has authored and co-<br \/>\nauthored more than 60 journal and conference publications in these fields.
