La g\u00e9n\u00e9ration \u00e9olienne, photovolta\u00efque et les liaisons HVDC sont interfac\u00e9es au r\u00e9seau de transport \u00e9lectrique par des dispositifs d\u2019\u00e9lectronique de puissance. D\u00e8s lors, serait-il envisageable d\u2019alimenter la demande \u00e9lectrique uniquement via ces sources \u00e9lectriques interfac\u00e9es par des convertisseurs statiques?<br \/>\nLe pilotage du syst\u00e8me \u00e9lectrique par l\u2019\u00e9lectronique de puissance constitue un changement radical du fonctionnement dynamique des r\u00e9seaux. La traditionnelle strat\u00e9gie de commande \u00ab grid-following \u00bb des onduleurs a montr\u00e9 ses limites lorsque la p\u00e9n\u00e9tration de ces dispositifs devient pr\u00e9pond\u00e9rante. Elle doit \u00eatre r\u00e9vis\u00e9e, au profit de strat\u00e9gies d\u00eetes \u00ab parallel grid-forming \u00bb.<br \/>\nDans cette th\u00e8se, les besoins fondamentaux du syst\u00e8me \u00e9lectrique sont d\u2019abord analys\u00e9s pour d\u00e9finir les exigences de la strat\u00e9gie \u00ab parallel grid-forming \u00bb, ainsi que les d\u00e9fis associ\u00e9s. Selon ces sp\u00e9cifications, une m\u00e9thode de synchronisation de sources \u00ab grid-forming \u00bb est ensuite propos\u00e9e ainsi qu\u2019un contr\u00f4le de tension, adapt\u00e9 aux limitations physiques des convertisseurs de tension PWM. La stabilit\u00e9 de la solution est discut\u00e9e pour diff\u00e9rentes configuration de r\u00e9seau. Enfin, une strat\u00e9gie de limitation du courant a \u00e9t\u00e9 sp\u00e9cifiquement d\u00e9velopp\u00e9e pour palier la sensibilit\u00e9 des VSC aux surcourants, lors d\u2019\u00e9v\u00e8nements r\u00e9seaux \u00e9prouvant. Les id\u00e9es d\u00e9velopp\u00e9es sur un convertisseur unique sont appliqu\u00e9es \u00e0 des petits r\u00e9seaux afin d\u2019interpr\u00e9ter physiquement les ph\u00e9nom\u00e8nes simul\u00e9s temporellement.<br \/>\n<strong>Abstract :<\/strong><br \/>\nIn the context of renewable energy and HVDC links development in power systems, the present work concerns the technical operations of such systems. As wind power, solar photovoltaics and HVDC links are interfaced to the transmission grid with power-electronics, can the system be operated in the extreme case where the load is fed only through static converters?<br \/>\nDriving a power system only based on power electronic interfaced generation is a tremendous change of the power system paradigm that must be clearly understood by transmission grid operators. The traditional \u201cgrid-feeding\u201d control strategy of inverters exhibits a stability limit when their proportion becomes too important. The inverter control strategy must be turned into a \u201cparallel grid-forming\u201d strategy.<br \/>\nThis thesis first analyses the power system needs, proposes the requirements for \u201cparallel grid-forming\u201d converters and describes the associated challenges. Accordingly, the thesis gives a method for designing a stable autonomous synchronization controls so that grid-forming sources can operate in parallel with a good level of reliability. Then, a method is proposed to design a voltage control for a grid-forming PWM source taking into account the limited dynamic of large converters. The robustness of the solution is discussed for different configuration of the grid topology. A current limiting strategy is presented to solve the current sensitivity issue of grid-forming converters, subject to different stressing events of the transmission grid.
